BPs in six Milwaukee-area counties sold gas connected to refinery problems
MILWAUKEE - BP gas stations in at least six Milwaukee area counties sold gasoline connected to problems at a refinery in Indiana.
Those counties include, but may not be limited to, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee and Washington Counties.
The company said that each location was told to stop selling the fuel and dispose of it.
According to a company statement, the company has fixed the refinery problem and is now re-supplying its stores with fuel up to the company's specifications.
The company says that if people experience hard starts, idling, stalling or other issues and they have purchased BP fuel recently, have their car towed to a repair shop and make a claim by calling 1-800-333-3991 or 1-800-599-9040.
