MILWAUKEE - Sikh temple members, a nationally-known activist and an American Idol finalist will take part in a rally against violence on Milwaukee's south side.

The event has been scheduled at the Faith Builders Church on the 4900 block of South Howell Avenue in Milwaukee, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Monday night.

Reverend Jesse Jackson was set to speak, along with a musical performance from Danny Gokey.

The event comes two weeks after the Sikh temple shooting in Oak Creek, where a gunman shot and killed six people before taking his own life.

The memorial fund for the six people who were shot has grown to more than $400,000.

The Sikh community plans to announce what they will do with that memorial fund in the coming days.

"For me, it's more the actual efforts people make," explained Kanwardeep Singh, a nephew of one of the victims.

Two shooting victims remain hospitalized.  Punjab Singh was listed in critical condition, while Oak Creek Police Lt. Brian Murphy was in satisfactory condition.

First Lady Michelle Obama was to visit with survivors and victims' families on Thursday.
