JANESVILLE - Three people have died in two crashes in the Town of Janesville.
The Rock County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Travis Simon, of Edgerton, tried to pass two vehicles and lost control just before 2 a.m. Sunday. His car entered the ditch and rolled several times. Simon was ejected and died at the scene.
A passenger, 18-year-old Emanuel Ocelot, of Janesville, was also ejected.
He died at a hospital.
The sheriff's office says speed and alcohol are believed to be factors. It says three other passengers fled the scene.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the other crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
A 39-year-old Janesville woman who allegedly was driving drunk was arrested after she ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle, killing 64-year-old James M. Menard of Chicago.
