The Wisconsin State Patrol says the semi was heading east when it came to a stop in a construction zone and was struck from behind by the SUV.
The Star Tribune reports four teenage boys from New Richmond were in the SUV. Two passengers -- a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old -- were killed. The 17-year-old driver was critically injured. Another 17-year-old passenger had minor injuries.
The truck driver was not hurt.
