MILWAUKEE - A family is grieving after a 16-year-old teen from Milwaukee was shot and killed Sunday.
Family members have identified the victim as Keenan Payne.
Police responded to the scene at an empty lot behind a daycare around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, near the corner of 77th and Mill Road on the Milwaukee's Northwest side.
It was there that Payne's body was found.
Family members like Emma Jean Lucas came to the empty lot where her nephew lost his life.
"It hurt's me to my heart, to see some senseless thing like this happen." said Lucas.
The woman said there were reports Payne had been involved in some sort of argument while he walked to a convenience store a block away.
Police haven't released any information or details surrounding the shooting, including if there have been any arrests.
