Baldwin likes Senate chances despite recall result

APPLETON- U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin says she's confident about the outlook for her Senate campaign, even though Wisconsin Democrats suffered major losses in this week's recalls.
Baldwin said Friday that no matter who her Republican opponent will be, the contrast will be clear. She says she has a strong record of fighting for middle-class values, while all four Republican hopefuls are on the side of corporations.
Baldwin will speak later Friday at the state Democratic Party's convention in Appleton.
Republican Gov. Scott Walker survived a recall attempt this week. But Baldwin says that doesn't mean Republicans have political momentum now.
She points to exit polls in which some Walker supporters said they planned to vote for President Barack Obama. She says that means people opposed the recall, but not Democratic principles.
