WAUKESHA - TODAY'S TMJ4 not only broke news to viewers in Southeastern Wisconsin that Gov. Scott Walker retained his job by winning a recall election.
The station broke the news to Walker's supporters at his official post-election party at the Waukesha County Expo Center on Tuesday night.
At about 8:54 p.m., reporter Charles Benson came back from a taped interview segment by telling the audience the NBC News projection that Walker had beaten Democratic challenger Tom Barrett.
While Benson began an interview with Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas, people at the Walker rally were watching TODAY'S TMJ4 on the big screen.
Seconds after viewers at home saw a graphic come up with Gov. Walker as the winner, those at the rally saw it.
A huge cheer then came from the celebratory crowd as they took in the breaking news from TODAY'S TMJ4.
