MILWAUKEE- Tom Barrett and Scott Walker have been campaigning tirelessly since the recall primary in May.
And Tuesday was no exception. Both candidates are making several stops across the state.
It was an early start to election day for Tom Barrett, voting at the French Immersion School in Milwaukee. From there, he made stops in Racine, and his last stop of the day in Brown Deer.
"We as a state cannot continuously be at each others throats. We have to find a way to deal with the serious issues and challenges we have and I really believe I'm the one who can bring this state together," said Barrett.
His message stayed the same -- going after Governor Walker on the John Doe investigation and out of state campaign funding. "I never wanted to tour the country and give fundraising speeches that wasn't what I thought this should be about. I thought this should be about Wisconsin values," declared Barrett.
And he hopes the people of Wisconsin will put his values in the governor's office. "At the end of the day, we're all Wisconsinites and we have to find a way to work together here," said Walker.
