MILWAUKEE - A mother from West Allis and her son were killed in two separate crashes just hours apart.
One of the drivers allegedly involved in the crashes was bound over for trial Friday morning at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
Jesse Steinmetz, 31, was expected in court, as he faces a charge of hit-and-run involving death.
He allegedly ran down the mother from West Allis as she laid in the street.
She had apparently been hit by another car before Steinmetz allegedly struck her.
The crash happened in late April near the corner of South 81st Street and West Greenfield Avenue.
Police believe vehicles struck Moore twice.
A search warrant reveals that her boyfriend's car may have hit her before the second crash that killed her.
Moore's son, Thomas Olson, died several hours after she died. It happened in a separate crash in West Allis.
He believed she was at a hospital and was on the way to see her there when the vehicle he was riding in overturned.
"They were joined at the hip," said Latricia Jensen, Olson's fiancee.
"For one to go, the other would have been struggling so hard. I really don't think they would have made it without each other."
Moore's boyfriend has not been charged.
