OAK CREEK- He ran one the area's most unique restaurants, but family, friends and customers are mourning the death of Erv Kazik of Erv's Mug.
Erv Kazik and his wife Barb opened the restaurant in 1979.
Erv died Monday, but not before making lasting impressions on a generation of customers.
To Kathy Lucht, Erv's Mug was her daughter's part-time job and a bar on par with "Cheers."
To Toni Alonzo -- Erv's is the kind of place where you get a job -- and stay; collecting 23 years of Erv stories along the way. "Every Saturday morning we had a little ritual where we would watch Soul Train, just so he could see what the girls were wearing," said Alonzo.
Erv retired in 2004 -- but his touches are on every flat surface in the place .
Memorabilia everywhere, almost as plentiful as the memories.
