MILWAUKEE - A 26-year-old man was in the Milwaukee County Jail on Monday, facing disturbing accusations of child abuse.
Nicholas Fuchs is accused of putting a little girl in a clothes dryer and turning it on.
Fuchs was watching the girl and her older brother for the children's mother - his girlfriend, who was working at the time.
The abuse didn't end there.
He is accused of breaking the little girl's arm and physically abusing the boy, including pinching his private part. He's also accused of picking the boy up by his neck at one point, causing injuries.
The children's mother says she met Fuchs in January of 2011 and he slowly began moving into her home in Oak Creek. She continued the relationship through September and told authorities near the end he became abusive toward her.
She learned about the abuse when she overheard her daughter threatening to put the girl's brother into the clothes dryer, like Nick allegedly did. She started asking questions and the stories started coming out.
The children referred to him when talking to investigators as "Mean Nick."
Fuchs faces up to 74 years in prison if he is convicted on all six felony charges against him.
