Plenty of winds in southeast Wisconsin Monday; Freeze Warning Tuesday

By WTMJ News Team. CREATED Apr 9, 2012

MILWAUKEE- We started the work week with plenty of wind in southeast Wisconsin with wind gusts up to 25 mph.  Despite Monday's winds, there was plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the high 50s, including 57 in Milwaukee, compared to a 51 average.

Going into early Tuesday morning, Jefferson, Walworth and Dodge Counties will have a freeze warning with temperatures in the upper 20s.  Storm Team 4Caster John Malan notes that the other southeast Wisconsin counties could see some patchy frost.  He says there will be cool air to the north and west on Tuesday, with temperatures pushing out the upper 50s and low 60s.

Also on Tuesday, we'll be clear to partly cloudy, windy and dry in the Milwaukee area.  That dry air continues to push in out of the north and west.  John said that all the golf moisture has been blocked for the last couple of weeks -- so that's why conditions around here are very, very dry.
