WEST ALLIS- West Allis police are investigating a series of robberies at local taverns.
Police say these robbers are brazen -- targeting taverns like Sir Gregory's Pub and others early in the day -- leaving some people in fear.
Authorities say two men robbed two taverns at gun point. The latest robbery at Lynch's Tavern. "You wouldn't think when you come to work that you have to worry about somebody putting a gun to your head. And it's very scary," said bartender Cindy Chelminiak. "I feel bad for the person that was here. I'm glad it wasn't me and i thank god he wasn't hurt."
The armed robbers even took a cell phone and the land line receiver at Lynch's so police couldn't be called after the robbery. Investigators say the suspects -- who are described as white and in their late 20s to 30s about 5'10' with medium build -- work as a team. "One maintains watching the bar owner...The other individual is gathering the money," said West Allis Police Captain Christopher Botsch.
The suspects have also hit Sir Gregory's Pub twice -- several miles away from Lynch's.
That's why Lynch's employees are being more vigilant with who comes through their door.
Police say the suspects took a decent amount of cash in the robberies. If you have any information -- you are asked to call West Allis police at (414) 476-2274.
There is a cash reward leading to their arrests.
