MADISON- Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Milwaukee Wednesday night and will speak at a fundraiser for President Obama Thursday.

Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to appear at the Italian Conference Center in Milwaukee for a lunchtime fundraiser.

The event is organized by the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee authorized by Obama for America and the Democratic National Committee.

Tickets begin at $250.

Biden's appearance comes just days before the April 3 Republican presidential primary. The four remaining candidates are making stops around Wisconsin this week.

Just hours after Biden is to be in Milwaukee, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was to be at an event at Marquette University. U.S. Rep. Ron Paul scheduled a town hall meeting Thursday night in Madison.

Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney also had numerous events in the state this week.
