New look for Wisconsin driver licenses

CREATED Mar. 22, 2012 - UPDATED: Mar. 22, 2012

MADISON - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has unveiled the new design for driver licenses and identification cards in the state.

The state says that it will unveil the new-look licenses/ID's this week.

The new licenses include new colors, graphics and laser engraving.

Each license will have a different color font, with blue for regular driver licenses and black for identification cards.

The state says that current licenses and identification cards will remain valid until their expiration date, including those with previous styles of licenses.

TODAY'S TMJ4's I-Team did a piece back in February on fake ID's used in Wisconsin.
