STEVENS POINT - Emergency personnel say they've removed a body from the Wisconsin River they believe is a missing 21-year-old college student.
"A body was recovered and identified as Eric Duffey," Stevens Point Sgt. Dan Wheeler told WTMJ.
Police had been searching for Duffey in the Wisconsin River. The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point student disappeared after he left a downtown bar early Saturday morning. He was celebrating his 21st birthday.
"He had been drinking and probably became disoriented and wandered into the river," Wheeler said. "This is an isolated incident."
Police do not suspect foul play.
