Man gets 200 years behind bars for terrorizing family

RACINE - A Wisconsin man has been sentenced to 200 years in prison for terrorizing his family in their Wind Lake home.
Sean Riker was convicted in November of 16 crimes including first-degree sexual assault of a child, physical abuse of a child, and reckless endangerment. Because the 43-year-old is already serving 7 1/2 years for damaging the Racine County Jail, his 200-year sentence will begin when that one ends.
Judge Eugene Gasiorkiewicz doubted Riker could be rehabilitated.
Riker refused to appear for his sentencing Friday.
Defense lawyer Richard Hart says he has spoken with Riker about why he is the way he is, but found no clear answer.
Though flawed and dangerous, he says, Riker remains a human being who has shown the ability to love.
