WEST BEND- For the most part, people in West Bend are done with winter -- at least they want to be. Friday's snowfall was a welcome sight for at least one guy who has been itching for snow.
"We'll salt and hook up the plows. We'll be out there until it's done snowing. It's going to be a long night for us," said plow truck operator Jon Flasch.
This is Flasch's first year as a plow truck operator has been a slow one, until now.
Public works crews set out to keep the highways clear this afternoon -- are concerned about road conditions for school buses and parents. Dads like Sean Spikes are thankful.
"It gets kind of slick pretty much around the corner with the school buses. You have a lot of people trying to go around the school buses," said Spikes.
And then there are people like Kathy Branstead -- wanting nothing to do with the late winter storm. She's driving to Florida, immediately!
For everyone else in West Bend, it's time to hunker down.
