Retired Milwaukee Firefighter killed in crash in Alabama

MILWAUKEE - A retired Milwaukee Firefighter is killed riding his bicycle down in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Michael Hoeft died after head trauma and internal injuries from a hit and run crash. So far, the driver has not been found.
We're told investigators don't have a lot of leads.
Hoeft trained Milwaukee Fire Batallion Chief Aaron Lipski.
"Hoeft would give you the shirt off his back," said Milwaukee Fire Batallion Chief Aaron Lipski, who trained under Hoeft. "He was an individual who gave his time to make sure the young men and women in his command were getting better and able to progress in their own careers."
Hoeft was a thirty year veteran.. he worked with the fire department and paramedics before retiring to the gulfcoast.
