Flights delayed after fuel spill and shortage at Mitchell International

MILWAUKEE - Flights have been delayed at Mitchell International Airport due to a shortage of fuel.
Airport spokeswoman Pat Rowe told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that the problem was in part due to a leaking pipeline at the airport - one owned by Shell - which has been shut down.
She said tanker trucks have been ordered to come with more fuel, but TODAY'S TMJ4's Cody Holyoke said some trucks had been held up.
"This is a constant operation, and the company that runs our fueling here at the airport is constantly re-evaluating how it's working, making sure that it keeps running smoothly," explained spokesman Ryan McAdams, who spoke with Holyoke.
"If everything's running as it should be, we shouldn't see any delays of this nature. We'll just have to wait and see."
