OAK CREEK- Police are investigating a middle school student accused of showing naked pictures of a girl to kids at school. And it's part of a growing problem.
Court documents say a 14-year old boy was showing off naked pictures of a 14-year-old girl on his cell phone. TODAY'S TMJ4 caught up with some parents and their reaction to the news might surprise you.
New documents from Milwaukee County Circuit Court describe an X-rated show-and-tell at the school. And now, a 14-year-old boy's cell phone is in police custody after students say he was using it to share naked pictures of a 14-year-old girl.
He claims she gave him the pictures. Parents told TODAY'S TMJ4 the sad part is that it's not that surprising.
Parent Bob Jesko told TODAY'S TMJ4 it doesn't really surprise him, "No it's not, you hear about it all the time. It happened in New Berlin just the other day, what a year ago."
He's talking about Anthony Stancl. The case made national headlines when the former New Berlin Eisenhower student tricked classmates into sending him nude photos, and then used them as blackmail to get the boys to have sex with him.
District Attorney Brad Schimel had this to say at the time, "Kids are sending nude pictures of each other to each other and I'm just not sure they're hearing this message. I hope their parents are."
It would seem, these kids didn't get that message. All the while, parents try to keep their kids safe in changing times.
Linda Bauknecht is a mom and she told TODAY'S TMJ4, "There's peer pressure, that's a bad thing for kids growing up these days. It's a lot different than when i was a young child."
TODAY'S TMJ4 wants to emphasize, that no charges have been filed yet. The calls to the school principal and superintendent were not returned.
