Congressman Sensenbrenner apologizes to First Lady Obama
MILWAUKEE - A spokeswoman for Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner says the Congressman has apologized for comments he was heard making about the size of First Lady Michelle Obama's rear end.
According to the online site Media Bistro, a Democratic operative overheard Sensenbrenner loudly make the comments during a conversation on a cell phone while he was in the Delta Crown Lounge at Reagan National Airport in Washington.
The report reads:
Sensenbrenner was overheard saying that after buying all their “crap” (his word) a woman approached him and praised first lady Michelle Obama. He told the woman that Michelle should practice what she preaches — “she lectures us on eating right while she has a large posterior herself.”

Congressman Sensenbrenner Spokeswoman released a statement to Newsradio 620 WTMJ in which she says the Congressman will apologize for the comment.
Amanda Infield told us:
Mr. Sensenbrenner was referring to the First Lady’s healthy food initiative. He doesn’t think the government should be telling Americans what to eat. While he may not agree with all of her initiatives, he plans to contact the First Lady’s office to apologize for his comments.
He then further said Thursday, “I regret my inappropriate comment and I have sent a personal note to the First Lady apologizing.”
First Lady Michelle Obama has focused on getting American's to eat healthy.
