Port Washington bus driver charged with additional count of sex assault of child
PORT WASHINGTON- A Port Washington bus driver has now been charged with four counts of first degree child sexual assault.
Port Washington police report that on December 13, a third student, a six-year-old interviewed at Child Protection Center in Milwaukee. That interview was taken to the Ozaukee County DA's office and two days later a warrant was issued for Randy Mayer charging him with an additional count of 1st degree child sexual assault-contact with a child under age 13.
Randy Mayer was subsequently apprehended and taken to the Ozaukee County Jail where he is currently secured and awaiting his initial appearance.
Mayer, as of December 7, had been charged with three counts of first degree child sexual assault.
Randy Mayer voluntarily surrendered to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Dept. and made an initial court appearance on December 7.
A bond of $2,500 cash was set along with a no contact provision with any juvenile under the age of 16. Since Randy Mayer's court appearance, he has posted the $2,500 cash bond and is presently awaiting trial.
Ozaukee County Sheriff's Dept. says Mayer is in the Ozaukee County Jail Thursday night. His initial court appearance would be Friday after 1 p.m.
