MPS removes embattled principal from Fairview School

MILWAUKEE- The Journal Sentinel reports the Milwaukee Public Schools administration removed the new principal of Fairview School Friday, pending an investigation into personal business issues that occurred at a private school she ran in Florida, a spokesperson said in a statement Friday.
This news comes a day after a TODAY'S TMJ4 I-Team piece on Wendy Alexander.
Wendy Alexander, the removed principal, was thrust into the spotlight this week when media outlets in Florida began reporting on complaints from parents who said they paid tuition this year for their children to attend Alexander's school, Hand in Hand Academy, and didn't get repaid when the school abruptly shut down this year.
A Florida roofing company owner also says Alexander owes her company more than $20,000 for a job it completed in August.
