Man who called 911 on Dahmer still feels regret
MILWAUKEE - Twenty years after Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested, the man who called police after seeing the serial killer with one of his victims says he still feels regret.
"I still dream about it and still feel sick to my stomach," the man, who asked not to be identified, told WTMJ's John Mercure.
He was driving up State Street when he saw Dahmer carrying a naked younger male. The young male was Konerak Sinthasomphone.
"He looked like he was out of it," the man said of Sinthasomphone. "He wasn't coherent at all."
The man pulled over and called 911. He then found himself face to face with Dahmer.
"Dahmer said (Sinthasomphone) had been robbed and beaten up. He claimed he was helping him."
Dahmer later told police officers the same thing.
Despite doing the right thing, the man told Mercure "I wish I could've done more. I could've saved a life. I'm sick inside."
