MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn laid out a timeline and detailed large-scale fights and robberies that broke out in the city after the big fireworks on July 3rd, with criminal activity stretching into the early morning of July 4th.
He talked about the crimes during a Tuesday press conference about robberies at Reservoir Park and a mob that looted a BP store at the corner of Humboldt and North around midnight July 4th.
"Certainly we had elements of mob like behavior that challenged us on July 3rd," said Flynn.
"We must not allow this barbaric behavior in any way to define this city or any of its communities."
Flynn will take part in a a forum blocks from where mob-like criminal activity happened on the evening of July 3rd.
People living in the area are invited to come to Gordon Park at 5:30 p.m. to attend a meeting with Chief Flynn.
