HARTLAND - Annie Bartosz is a little girl with a big vision. The 11-year-old wants to turn the world gold every September for children battling cancer.
"I believed my twin brother Jack would be by my side forever," she says.Last year her twin brother Jack lost his fight with the deadly disease. She realized few people knew September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and even fewer knew gold ribbons symbolized those that support the efforts to find a cure.
This month she and her parents launched G-9: "Go gold in September."
"This project supports every child everywhere," said Annie Bartosz
Friday night to a crowd of thousands attending Arrowhead High School's football game, she made her pitch.
She is hoping people will not only wear gold ribbons, bracelets or shirts - but also take action.
