10-year-old killed after minivan is hit by alleged drunken driver
GREEN COUNTY - A 10-year-old child died after a crash Monday night caused by an alleged drunk driver.
Twenty-one-year-old Trevor McGuire crashed his pickup truck into a minivan Monday, and was later arrested and charged with reckless driving and homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
"McGuire was driving west on Hwy. 59 and Iverson was driving east, when McGuire crossed over the center line and struck the mini-van," according to the Green County Sheriff.
The driver of the minivan, a 35-year-old man from Stoughton, was taken to the UW Hospital in Madison with life-threatening injuries. A 7-year-old and 13-year-old in the van were also injured.
