Report: Two injured starters on defense hit practice field for Packers
A Packers linebacker and defensive back reportedly are taking part in more practice activity than they did Thursday as they recover from injuries.
According to the Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein:
#Packers practice: Matthews returns, Hayward takes part in some individual drills in pads. Probably just part of the process in his return— Tom Silverstein (@TomSilverstein) October 3, 2013
Matthews suffered a hamstring injury in the Packers' 34-30 loss at Cincinnati two weeks ago. He could be available for Sunday's showdown against Detroit after limited practice time Wednesday.
Hayward has not played a down this season due to his hamstring issue. He has been ruled out for Sunday's game with the Lions.
