Rookie Packers running back Eddie Lacy described himself on "The Mike McCarthy Show" as "real chill, laid back."
Until you get a football in his hand. Then, he chooses "to run with an edge" and with a desire for one goal.
"Production," said McCarthy with emphasis on his show, which airs on TODAY'S TMJ4 and NBC26.
"As he continues to get the little things under his belt, you'll see his productivity increase even more."
Lacy cites his own greater recognition of the little things in the Packers' system throughout this rookie year as the way he's been able to grow.
"It's about being comfortable. As the season's been going along, I've been getting more comfortable, using my natural instincts."
For example: "The week before this past game, I didn't go as good in pass protection. We had to practice with a little bit of emphasis. Taknig it into the game, using the fundamentals the coach taught me, I had a few pretty good blocks."
With this growth, are there specific individual goals he goes after each individual game?
Not according to Lacy.
"Just being out there, I'm always excited to be out there. I'm a guy that likes simple things. Being able to play the sport that I love, I just like that the most."
