A dejected Mike McCarthy spoke exclusively with the Packers Radio Network's Larry McCarren after a hard-fought but painful 34-30 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Here's what he had to say:
"Tough loss. We knew it was going to be a great challenge today. Didn't start off very well. Our defense did a great job."
"A game of peaks and valleys...I thought our guys fought through a number of tough situations, injuries...behind early."
On Cincinnati turnovers in first half and Packers getting no offensive TDs off them.
"We would have liked to have more point generation off of that."
On the fumble play that led to Cincinnati's game-winning score:
"A zero wedge play...we didn't have control of the football as Jonathan entered the air."
On late pass plays that were tipped at the line of scrimmage, including the game-clincher:
"Anytime you have a batted ball, you have to look at the design and the protection...technique things."
