GREEN BAY - Fans are anxious to get their first glimpse of the green and gold. People soaked in the nostalgia around the stadium district and doing their own preparations for the start of the season.
Crews prepped the field for the start of Packers training camp. Across the street, the Jersey Store did their own preps.
"It's just generally a great busy time for us here," says store manager Joey Larson.
Ready for the mad house on Friday.
"People are going to be here from all over the place and they're going to be buying tons of jerseys in bulk," says Larson.
Packers players reported to Lambeau for pre -camp meetings. About 30 fans camped out, eager to get some autographs. The Big Cheese tailgate bus made its national TV debut showing off for the Travel Channel at Kroll's, but fans more so celebrating another Packers season.
"We filled in some blanks from last year and I think we can make a run at the Super Bowl," says Al Koivisto.
Because rain or shine, football is back and the green and gold is in the air.
The Packers expect anywhere from 2,500 to 5,000 fans Friday for the start of training camp.
