  • MILWAUKEE - On Thursday, the Milwaukee area won't see the mix of rain and warm sunshine that it experienced yesterday.

Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele says that highs won't approach the mark they reached on Wednesday.

"After yesterday's potent but compact and rapidly moving cold front, we'll notice a downturn in temperatures," said Scott.

  • "High pressure at the surface will offer us a break from any rain today. Look for some sunshine with a few clouds.

However, Scott gave a warning about what you'll see on the thermometer the next few days.

"That's just the beginning of the fall, though."

  • Unseasonably cooler temperatures are on the way, according to Scott.

"By the weekend, the chillier Canadian Autumn air mass settles in overhead and limits our maximum mercury to the mid and upper 50s, more than 10 degrees below average for this time of year," said Scott, who also 4casts precipitation over the next couple days.

"As an upper level trough digs in and a few new surface disturbances approach from the West, more scattered rain will pop up to finish the work week and linger into the first half of the weekend."
