  • MILWAUKEE - A somewhat muggy day in the 80's is in store for many people in Southeastern Wisconsin, including those who are sending their kids to school for the first time today.

"The back to work and school forecast for southeast Wisconsin continues to feel like summer with partly cloudy skies," said Storm Team 4Caster Jesse Ritka.

  • "The majority of the day will be dry, but there is a slight chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm to develop this afternoon."

According to Jesse, temperatures on Tuesday night will also remain in the warm range, and "the best chance for rain comes late tonight and into early Wednesday morning."

  • Rain will be the theme Wednesday, with a possibility of dangerous storms coming.

"Rain showers and thunderstorms are likely on Wednesday, especially late morning where some storms could be strong to even severe. We could see up to a half an inch of rain from this passing cold front, though higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms."

  • She tells us rain should end Wednesday night, with temperatures dropping.

"Highs will be back to seasonable 70s for September by Thursday with sunny skies and a light northwest wind. There is a slight chance for a few spotty showers Friday night and into Saturday morning, allowing temperatures to drop into the low 70s for a cooler weekend."
