  • On the backside of a departing storm system, we'll see strong northwest winds pound our region with gusts to 40 miles per hour today.

  • Combined with a much colder air mass and temperatures topping out at only about 20 degrees, look for biting wind chills as low as 10 below zero today and 15 below zero tonight!

  • There will be some patchy snow and blowing snow through the day in all the cold air, though very little accumulation will take place.

  • With high pressure building in there should be plenty of sunshine for Wednesday.

  • That will be short lived as the next more substantial system targets us with a potential for several inches of snow possible late Thursday into Friday.
