  • MILWAUKEE - When you step outside this morning, you will feel a winter-like chill - probably much colder than the last time you were outdoors.

You may want your winter gear on before you do take that step outside.

Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele explains the reasons for a big overnight drop in temperatures.

  • "On the back side of this weekend's departing storm, cold air has come rushing in," explained Scott.

"With some lingering moisture, look for some flurries or snow showers with a sun/cloud mix throughout much of the day."

  • The good news: expect sunshine for most of the week, along with slowly rising temperatures.

"Skies begin clearing tonight with a major pattern shift leading to an extended period of dry weather and sunshine which begins tomorrow and could last through the rest of the week and next weekend. A gradual moderation in temperatures begins midweek, too."
