  • We're in the warm sector across Wisconsin this Wednesday, sandwiched between a warm front and a cold front. That cold front will be progressing toward us from the west through the day.

  • Ahead of it, winds will whip out of the southwest sending temperatures soaring to about 70 degrees. After morning sunshine, clouds will be on the increase in an atmosphere becoming more saturated.

  • The boundary will trigger showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and into tonight with some downpours likely. An upper level low will deepen over our heads and be slow to exit creating a risk of showers right through Friday.

  • Today: Increasing clouds, windy, and very warm | Showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon | High: Near 68 | Wind: SSW 10-18 mph

  • Tonight: Showers and some thunderstorms likely and more seasonal | Low: Near 47 | Wind: S-W 7-12 mph

  • Thursday: Mostly cloudy, windy, and much cooler with more scattered showers | High: Near 50 | Wind: SW 10-20 mph gusting to 25 mph

  • Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with more scattered showers and seasonal | Low: Near 43 | Wind: SSW 7-12 mph

  • Friday: Mostly cloudy and very chilly with more scattered showers again | High: Near 48
