  • TOWN OF SAUKVILLE - Two people are dead and a driver is injured after a car drove off a road in Ozaukee County. The crash happened in a dark and rural area, just before 11:00 a.m. Monday night, at the intersection of Hawthorne Road and County Highway I near the Hawthorne Hills Golf Course in the Town of Saukville.

  • Authorities pronounced Jayme Ceplina and Stephen Miller dead at the scene. Miller, who was 23, was from Port Washington. Ceplina was 21 years old. She lived in West Bend.

  • Nicholas Snow, 25, drove the vehicle. Flight for Life took him to Froedtert Hospital. There was no initial word on his condition. The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department says that the car was going east on Hawthorne Road and missed a stop at Highway I.

  • The car went into a nearby service road. Snow lost control, the car struck several trees and split the car into two pieces. Authorities believe speed and alcohol are possible contributing factors in the crash.
