  • MILWAUKEE - Summer has not stopped since the calendar switched to September, and people in Milwaukee will feel temperatures and humidity that could feel July-like in our area.

"With the remnants of Isaac still in the Ohio River Valley, the forecast for southeast Wisconsin calls for warmer temperatures and increased humidity on this Labor Day," said Storm Team 4Caster Jesse Ritka.

She also warns of precipitation in parts of our area, especially later in the day.

  • "There is a chance for a few afternoon showers and even thunderstorms to develop mainly in the west and in the north but that chance becomes greater tonight."

As the week continues, so will summer-like weather.

"Tuesday will be almost a repeat day with unseasonably warm temperatures, muggy conditions and mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies," explained Jesse.

  • "There will be another chance for a few isolated showers and storms to develop but the best chance for rain comes late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning as a cold front moves on through. Some of those storms could be on the stronger side and bring a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain."

She expectes a temperature drop later this week, meaning a bit of a break from the hotter summer-like conditions.

"Behind the front, temperatures will drop back to near average, into the mid-70s, with mostly sunny skies on Thursday. A few spotty showers are possible on Friday but cooler temperatures will be the main story going into the weekend. "
