  • Temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-80's on Wednesday, but the weather pattern creating the warmer temps should also provide some precipitation to our area, according to Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.

"Departing high pressure will swing our winds around to the Southwest and help boost temperatures even higher than yesterday," said Scott.

  • "The leading edge of warmer air will trigger some isolated showers or even a thundershower, though most of the area will remain dry for most of the day. A large trough in the upper levels of the atmosphere, combined with an approaching surface cold front, will lead to more moisture and lift with showers and thunderstorms developing late tonight and into tomorrow."

Scott predicts higher rain gauge totals on Thursday, but lower temperatures - a combination which could affect travelers and football fans heading up to the Packers-Browns game Thursday night.

  • "Thursday looks to be rather unsettled and wet as that boundary passes through our area," said Scott, who also says temperatures will stay cool throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"With winds returning to the Northwest and a Canadian air mass moving in by Friday, look for noticeably chillier readings to finish off the work week. The below average high temperatures in the low 70s plus plenty of sunshine should persist through the weekend, too."
