  • MILWAUKEE - Seven people, including three teenagers as young as 14-year-old, were shot during four incidents within a period of 10 hours Monday night and Tuesday morning.

One person was shot and killed near the corner of North 28th Street and West Wells Street. Milwaukee police say 25-year-old George L. Phillips was the victim in that shooting that happened after 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Milwaukee Police and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office went to the scene, but did not initially release any information on the gender or age of the victim.

Kevin Smith lives a half block away from the shooting scene.

"When I came out here, they had the whole block - just down here east of us - blocked off with lines, a couple of cops," said Smith. Click on the picture for more about this story.

  • Milwaukee Police said that three people, including two teenagers, were shot in an incident at about 2:00 a.m. in front of a home near the corner of South 23rd and West Orchard Streets.

Someone shot a 14-year-old girl in the knee, while a 19-year-old woman was shot in her right leg and a 23-year-old man had a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. They are all expected to survive.

That series of shootings happened in alderman Bob Donovan's district.

He has called for several meetings with Milwaukee Police and District Attorney John Chisholm's office to stop the violence at the home, the same place where someone was murdered last month.

He believes having the city seize the home would stop the violence in his district, but he's being told they're not allowed to do that.

"There are laws evidently in place where you can't go in and seize a property," explained Donovan to TODAY'S TMJ4's Nick Montes.

"For whatever reason, that property is a magnet for violence." Click on the picture for more about this story.

  • Another shooting involving a teenage victim happened at about midnight, near the corner of North 23rd and West Locust Streets.

According to police, one victim, 16, was shot in the foot. Another man, 21, was shot in the leg. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Police said they were told to leave a house party along with several others.
