MILWAUKEE – This week, the stakes were raised for many of the teams featured on the Frenzy.
Three of the seven games in this week’s edition featured undefeated teams looking to continue on in their quest for perfection under the Friday night lights.
This week’s offering of the Friday Football Frenzy featured highlights from the following contests in Week 4:
Brookfield Central at Menomonee Falls
Another battle of unbeaten teams was on at Menomonee Falls as they took on Brookfield Central. Fans in attendance got to see a thriller in overtime. With time running out in overtime and while clinging on to a 34-31 lead, Menomonee Falls would hold off Central and move on to 4-0.
Brown Deer at South Milwaukee
The battle of the unbeatens was on as the Brown Deer Falcons took the long trip across town to take on the South Milwaukee. Despite a remarkable outing from quarterback Zack Baun, who passed for 118 yards and ran for 168, the Rockets would knock off the Falcons, 29-14.
Kettle Moraine at Waukesha South
Kettle Moraine traveled to Waukesha South to take their shot at beating the Blackshirts. After giving up 34 points through three quarters, Kettle Moraine would respond with all of their 27 points in the fourth quarter. It was too little too late for the Lasers as Waukesha South wins, 41-27.
Milwaukee King at Milwaukee Vincent
The longstanding rivalry between these two City Conference schools has made its way back onto the gridiron. The Vikings of Milwaukee Vincent hosted the Rufus King Generals at home.
It was a good day for the Generals’ Saquan Dowery, who finished with 70 yard passing and 65 yards rushing. The Generals would take this one from the Vikings, 41-8. Rufus King is now two games over .500 and the Vikings remain winless.
Muskego at Waukesha West
After their big win over Mukwonago a week ago, the Waukesha West Wolverines advanced to 4-0 with a huge 51-13 win over Muskego. Running back Elijah Forte led the way for the Wolverines with 311 yards rushing.
Pewaukee at Greendale
Another battle between two undefeated teams would result in another thriller in Greendale. The Greendale Panthers would build a big lead early. Late in the fourth quarter, the Pewaukee Pirates would storm back, scoring 14 in the final period but it wasn’t enough as the Panthers win, 28-14 and move on to 4-0 on the year.
Waukesha Catholic Memorial at Arrowhead
In a low scoring, defensive struggle, the Arrowhead Warhawks would come away with the win in a game that produced no points in the second half. Arrowhead moves on to 3-1 and Memorial drops their first game of the year, losing 12-0.
