Top 4th of July songs in each state, and most patriotic states

By Joyce Lupiani. CREATED Jul 4, 2014

Spotify has revealed the top Fourth of July songs in every state, as well as a ranking of the most patriotic states based on song streams.

It is probably no big surprise, but the District of Columbia came in at the top of the list, despite not actually being a state. The other top five rankers are Nebraska, Delaware, Louisiana and Utah.

"God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood is the top song in 21 states coast to coast, especially in the Midwest.

"Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus is the most streamed song in Maine and New Hampshire. Connecticut rocks out to "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen, and New York favors Springsteen's "4th of July, Asbury Park."

California, New Jersey and Florida prefer the bold Team America tribute "America F*ck Yeah," and Hawaii hangs 10 to "Surfin' USA" by the Beach Boys.
