One of Olivia Pope’s “gladiators in suits” may need a gladiator of his own.
Columbus Short, who plays “Harrison” on the ABC smash “Scandal,” was arrested on Wednesday “on felony charges after an altercation occurred earlier this month at a West L.A. restaurant that left a man seriously injured,” according to Entertainment Tonight and Fox News. “He was released that same day after posting a $50,000 bond.”
According to the LAPD, Short “hit and knocked out a guy during a dispute on March 15,” ET reports. “If convicted, Fox reports that Short faces four years in state prison. The date for his first court appearance has not yet been set.”
This is a new legal issue for the 31-year-old actor, who previously “was charged with misdemeanor spousal battery and has pleaded not guilty,” ET reports. “At a March 5 hearing, he was ordered to stay away from his wife Tuere Short, who filed for divorce in 2013 but dismissed the petition earlier this year.”
