Chris Pratt wasn't just a hero in space, he was also a hero recently at a hospital in Los Angeles.
The actor, who is now a bonafide movie star thanks to the success of "Guardians of the Galaxy," was at Children's Hospital Los Angeles recently for a special screening of the film for patients, their families and staff.
During the screening, he snuck out and put on his Peter "Star-Lord" Quill outfit from the movie. He then spent three hours handing out movie-themed toys. Pratt visited patients in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases and the Pediatric ICU who were too sick to come to the screening.
According to E Online, Pratt spent extra time with one patient, Dylan Prunty, who is a longtime Lego fan and recognized the actor's voice from "The Lego Movie." The two over them spent about 10 minutes reciting lines from that movie.
Pratt snuck back into the screening just as it was ending. He then took hundreds of photos and handed out even more movie stuff. He even let the kids try on some of his costume.
Pratt worked with Marvel and Make-A-Wish Foundation to arrange the screening and visit.
