You’d think a seal might be a natural surfer, but the seal pup seen in the incredible video above has a pretty hard time staying on a surfboard, despite its apparent enthusiasm for the sport.
“In a recent surfing trip off the northeast coast of England, Matthew Stanley and Andrew Flounders were joined by a seal pup trying to jump on a surfboard and catch some waves,” reports WILX.
One of the men had a camera mounted on the front of his board, and it captured the seal repeatedly trying to climb on both men’s boards to catch a ride. Despite help from the men, the seal slips off time and time again, but it seems to be having fun nonetheless.
Meanwhile, a pig in Hawaii named Kama is a significantly more successful surfer. Watch below as he and owner Kai Holt hit Sandy Beach for a surf session with the locals in Oahu, where Kama has become the unofficial mascot.
