Report: Chicago Bears' delinquent tax bill reaches millions

By Jay Sorgi. CREATED Aug 7, 2014

The Chicago Bears aren't just facing a deficit of recent success. Now, they face a financial deficit in the eyes of the government.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears, whose stadium is located in Cook County, Illinois, have a delinquent tax bill which has risen to $4 million.

That ruling comes from a court which says the Bears owe taxes on ticket price values. The team claims it only has to pay taxes on the seats and not additional amenities.
