It appears that Justin Bieber's wild antics have caught up with him again. The 19-year-old Canadian pop star was arrested Thursday morning.

The news was posted on the Miami Beach Police Department's Twitter page at about 6:30 a.m. According to the tweet, he was arrested for DUI and illegal street racing.

A later tweet from Miami Beach PD says that Khalil Amir Sharieff, an R&B singer from California, was also arrested with Bieber.

According to NBC6 South Florida, the incident happened around 4 a.m. and it took police officers a significant distance to catch Bieber, who was in a rented yellow Lamborghini

Bieber was given a field sobriety test at the scene and failed. He will now be booked and processed and bail will be set.

TMZ says that Bieber had just left a club when he was spotted racing in a residential neighborhood.

Bieber appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was incoherent, according to a statement by the Miami Beach police chief to the Miami Herald.

Bieber initially refused to get out of the car and let loose with a string of F-bombs directed at police officers. He also refused to take his hands out of his pockets.

The newspaper says that Bieber told officers that he'd had a beer and was under the influence of anti-depressants and had been smoking pot all day.

In addition, Bieber did not have a valid driver's license at the time of his arrest.

The singer's entourage apparently used their cars to block traffic so that Bieber could race. Police says Khalil was the driver in the other car, a red Ferrari.

The singer's mug shot was tweeted shortly after 8 a.m.

This incident follows a neighbor accusing Bieber of egging his home and a subsequent search of the singer's home earlier this month.

Other incidents involving Bieber include an alleged attack by one of his bodyguards on a police officer in Florida, trouble during a trip to Argentina, spitting on fans in Toronto and underage drinking in Chicago.
