Kelly's Forecast For Friday, August 22nd, 2014

A heat dome/ridge of high pressure is budiling across the Southeastern US, and that will take our temperatures into the mid 90s over the next few days. With the humidity, heat indicies will warm to near 100 in many locations today and Sunday.  We will see a few showers & scattered storms this morning and a few again this afternoon with a total rain chance of 40% Saturday.  Then look for a and 30% chance Sunday & Monday as a weak cold front work in from the east.  Our hottest day for the last two years has been 97 degrees, so we will be close to that this weekend.  Highs go down a couple of degrees, to the low 90s Monday and finally return to the mid/upper 80s around Thursday.
