RECIPE # 4589 - SHRIMP CHOWDER, Friday, January 21, 2011

PHILLIP BARMER / THE LAUGHING APRON COOKING SCHOOL

INGREDIENTS:

1 bunch green onions, chopped

3/4 stick butter

1-1/2 lbs medium shrimp, cooked, peeled & deveined

2 T (or more to taste) Chef Paul's Seafood Magic seasoning (I use almost half a bottle)

1/4 t (or more to taste) cayenne pepper

4 oz. cream cheese, cut into small pieces

1 can whole kernel corn, drained

2 cans potato soup

1 can cream of mushroom soup

2 c Half & Half cream

DIRECTIONS:

Lightly sauté green onions in butter 

Add shrimp and heat through 

Add Chef Paul's Seafood Magic seasoning &  cayenne pepper

Stir in cream cheese until melted

Add whole kernel corn,  potato soup and cream of mushroom soup

Let all ingredients boil about 10 minutes and then add half and half cream

Heat but don't boil.  Enjoy…
